During the sixties Glory found herself on the west coast and belonged to Frank Simpson III and sailed out of Newport Harbor Yacht Club. Frank sailed in local Southern California races and enjoyed sailing Glory with his family. In 1965 he entered Glory in the transpacific race Transpac.

Frank found himself as an officer for the Transpacific Yacht Club and went on to compete in the race. Below is the program from 1965.

Ticonderoga was the winner that year with a time of 9 days 13 hours 51 minutes and 2 seconds.
